The backbone of HRN
Volunteer with us
Volunteers are the backbone of Hope Restoration Network. Much of the work we do may not be feasible had it not been for them. Members of the community, our partners and Youth Club Members generously offer their precious times, skills and energies to support our works concerning thousands of disadvantaged children and families.
Our volunteer tutors help pupils and students to improve literacy skills through our Reading Club programme, where basic English Language skills are proffered. We are also assisted by a team of administrators and project support volunteers, who work behind the scenes to help with the day-to-day operations of the organization.
Therefore, you, our cherished reader who’s yet to be an official part of us can also aid disadvantaged children get the most out of their education to create a better future for themselves.

Join our community of volunteers and help us provide the support these children need.

Our Accommodation
As part of your project fee, we make provision for secure accommodations that are comfortable, and close to your placement. Our accommodation options and the culturally immersive experience they offer are just other reasons why we’re the gold standard in volunteering and interning abroad.
Living with a host family
One of the things that make volunteering and interning abroad so worthwhile is the chance to discover a different way of life. You get to experience something far beyond what you would as a tourist, thus by living with a host family.
Our projects empower you to explore the world, experience different cultures, and truly understand the specific issues in the places of visit. We offer the chance to live like a local and to truly immerse yourself in local cultures that are safe, secure, healthy, and educative, via our host family accommodations. In the process, you’ll grow as an individual and broaden your understanding of persons, including their respective problems for probable proffering of innovative remedies.
Your local accommodation with a host family will be like a home away from home. Having a warm, caring family to come home to each day is an ideal way to adjust to living in a different country. A supportive home environment gives you the confidence to focus on your contributions during your placement, as well as exploring the country. You also won’t be on your own. We have a thriving volunteer community in all of our destinations. You will live with a host family alongside at least one other HRN volunteer.
Our host families are carefully chosen for safety, security, comfort, and friendliness. Many of our hosts are associated with our programmes. For example, you might live with a teacher or headmistress at one of our partner schools, or a doctor at one of our medical placements.
Your room will be modest but comfortable. Host families live in secure houses and neighbourhoods and are closely screened and monitored. Our full-time local staffs hold regular check-ups, including prior safety examination right before you move in.
We also ensure they (host families) can provide you with quality home-cooked meals, as well as easy accessibility to clean, healthy, useable, and consumable water. Healthy foods and water are at the heart of a society, so you just may want to be prepared to have a taste of all available local cuisines!
In line with our commitment to being a positive influence in the communities where we work, host families are decently compensated. They are also interviewed for the establishment of certainty that they are motivated for and by the right reasons. They will welcome you into their respective families and homes, in all eagerness to share their traditions and customs with you, and vice versa.
We believe that living with a host family offers an incredible experience that really makes a placement with us unique.
Staying in shared accommodation
When host family accommodation isn’t possible, we arrange shared volunteer accommodation.
Our shared accommodation is usually apartments or guesthouses, which you’ll share with other volunteers. This is the perfect opportunity for bonding with other volunteers from around the world and building a network of international friends and associations.
Your accommodation will be clean, safe, secure and comfortable. A chef will cook your meals each day, giving you the chance to connect with local culture through food.
Various accommodation options
You reserve the option to choose between various ilk of accommodations, thus for some specific projects; theses includes host families, shared accommodation, hotels, guest houses, and etcetera.
